The Model Garage is truly a model of what an automotive repair and maintenance establishment should be. Always friendly, attentive and dedicated to the highest standards in customer relations, service and problem solving. Cars may limp in but they will roar out.

I have been taking my vehicles to Model Garage for many years. I trust their honesty, expertise and responsiveness. Without fail, their advice is sound and reliable. Also, Gail is a top-notch mechanic. But, completely on the human side, Don has gone out of his way to treat a young woman who could not pay for his services with incredible generosity. Don is a mensch of the first order.

Although I no longer live in Berkeley I still have my car serviced at The Model Garage. The owner and people who work there are decent good people. The owner plays his saxophone to announce coffee break. They had a memorial for one of the employees who died and invited customers. Again they are decent, good people and that is who I want giving me advice on how best to care for my car.

I found this garage by accident when my Volvo overheated - the most fortunate accident ever! Don and the crew are THE BEST! All you want, need or expect from your mechanic: trustworthy, honest, great repair and decent cost. They go the extra mile!!
